Charter
The charter is written to establish the KCSC. It is recognized that the following statements are guidelines, not rules. The guidelines are part of a living document that should change as the coalition grows.
Description
The Kansas City Security Coalition KCSC, founded in 2000, is an organization run by and for security professionals. KCSC brings together representatives of security organizations from federal government for the purpose of sharing best practices and learning from each other.
Purpose
To elevate the general knowledge of the security community on systems security, fraud detection, physical security, and to promote security awareness in member organizations.
To serve as a professional forum for the exchange of information on security related issues.
To provide for the professional development of KCSC members.
Membership
Membership is open to security professionals representing security groups within the government.
There are no membership fees at this time; all that is required is a willingness to share your products, information and experiences.
Meetings
Meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 am. Meeting frequency may be varied by membership recommendation to the board. Effort will be made to rotate the meeting place among member organizations.
Structure
The KCSC will consist of the following:

- The executive board consists of the founding members and will be changed as the KCSC evolves. The charter can be revised by the executive board as necessary to promote the objectives and growth of the KCSC. The executive board will develop committees as needed (i.e. membership committee, activities committee, etc.) to carry out the purpose of the coalition.
